Thomasina Perkins-Washington
Born in Jersey City, NJ and raised abroad and in the US as an "Army Brat", Thomasina was exposed to various cultures during her youth. She now resides in the Northern VA, DC Metro area where she has held various positions working with the US Government as a Civilian and Contractor. Ms. Perkins-Washington has had a successful career as an Administrator, Financial/Budget Analyst, and as an Outreach Management Analyst in which she has gained experience and expertise in managing large and small budgets, planning and executing events, and handling multiple administrative duties with grace and precision.
Her unique no nonsense approach to business, sense of style and passion for Entertainment, as well as her keen sense of direction as it pertains to Artist and Model Management, and specifically Media/Public Relations has inspired her to establish Tru DIVA Productions on July 7, 2009. With Tru DIVA, Thomasina is able to share her past experience as a runway model (overseas in Europe), creativity and admiration of the design, entertainment (artist of every genre, music, DJ, actor/actress, models, etc.), modeling & fashion industry, as well as appreciation for athletics and extraordinary events. Deciding to utilize these gifts and talents, Thomasina desires to help her clients bring out their visions and/or dreams by applying her attributes as an adviser, strategist, coordinator, communications specialist, traveling companion and friend; whether for a client hiring an entertainment professional or an entertainment professional in need of strategic guidance, she and her team will tailor a strategic approach which satisfies either side in making those visions reality.
Ms. Perkins-Washington is a member of the following organizations: Hip Hop Sisters, NABFEME (National Association of Black Female Executives in Music & Entertainment), WEEN (Women in Entertainment Empowerment Network), SWaM (Small Woman and Minority) Business Certified, Prince William County Chamber of Commerce and a Lifetime member of the NAACP (National Association for the Advancement of Colored People); She is a DC Metro area chapter representative for the organization S.U.E. (Sisters United Enterprise) and the Executive Director of the Miss Northern Virginia Scholarship Organization a local preliminary to Miss Virginia and subsequently Miss America Organization.
